About us.
Souvenir Typefaces is a creative practice dedicated to the creation of digital typefaces and tailored typography. Our practice and working exchanges celebrate genuine intrigue and thorough research-led explorations, often looking at the topic of sentimentality, and how to capture this expression within our output.
Launched in 2024, Souvenir began with Label and has since grown into a small, deliberate catalogue. Alongside the library, we work with studios, brands and publishers on bespoke type, helping them understand how and why typography can add value to their offering(s).

For maximum flexibility and value, we offer a single, versatile General Font Licence — one licence covering desktop, self-hosted web and mobile / software applications. Rather than buying separate licences, the common use cases are bundled into one.

Priced by company size
The licence cost is set by the number of employees in your organisation — not by the number of individual users. Buying on behalf of a client? It’s their company size that counts.
Common questions
Who owns the font licensing?
The individual or company purchasing the font licence is the owner and licensee. The licence grants certain usage rights to the licensee.
Can I use your fonts on behalf of clients / employers?
Yes although the organisation or individual commissioning and owning the final work(s) needs to purchase the appropriate font licence(s). As a designer or agency creating work for clients, you do not need to purchase font licences yourself. You only need to own a licence if you’re creating work for you or your organisation (*Please note, our general font licences are not transferable).
Do you offer library alterations?
Yes! We do offer bespoke creations, alterations and custom naming within our library. Please get in touch via email.
Can I use your fonts in logos?
Yes you may use our fonts in logos.
Can we modify the font?
No. You may not modify / reverse engineer the font files. However, you may outline and modify the paths within a respective design software(s) (Such as Illustrator / InDesign / Figma etc). Additionally, you cannot place any altered characters in any form, back into font software.
Does my licence renew?
Our licences are perpetual which means you only pay once.
What file formats shall we receive?
We supply .otf / .woff and .woff2 files
Can we store the font files on our server?
Yes you may, although it must be private facing. You may not host the font files on any open, public facing server / cloud service (Such as Dropbox / Github).
Do you offer student discount?
Yes! All current enrolled students receive a 50% discount on our entire font library. Please supply proof of your current enrolment, such as a student ID or confirmation of study via email, and you’ll receive a unique discount code to apply at checkout.

Privacy Policy
Souvenir Typefaces is run by Souvenir Foundry Ltd, London, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this site, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. If anything here is unclear, write to mail@souvenirtypefaces.xyz.

What we collect
When you buy a licence — your name, email address, billing address, the organisation the licence is for and its size band, the name of the licence holder, and a VAT number if you provide one, together with a record of what you licensed. Your card details go directly to our payment provider, Stripe; they never pass through or sit on our systems.
When you download trial fonts — your name and email address, kept with a record of the download. Trial fonts are for evaluation only, and knowing who has them is how we keep that promise.
When you join the newsletter — your email address.
When you contact us — whatever you choose to send, and our reply.
Automatically — like every website, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for a short time for security and reliability. If you allow it when we ask, we also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from; that is the only analytics or tracking on the site, and it runs only with your permission.
Why we use it
To deliver what you have bought and administer your licence, which is a contract between us. To keep the records the law requires of a business, including tax records and a lasting register of who holds which licence. To run trials and protect our typefaces, and to keep the site secure, which are our legitimate interests. And, only with your permission, to send you the newsletter, which you can stop at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us, and to understand how the site is used through analytics, which you can switch off at any time as described under Cookies.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted services to run the studio: Fontdue, the platform that operates our store, licences and customer records; Stripe, which processes payments; the provider that hosts this site; and, only if you have allowed analytics, Google, whose Analytics service tells us how the site is used. Each handles your information only to provide its service to us. Some of these providers operate outside the United Kingdom; where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. We never sell personal information, and we never share it for advertising.
Cookies
Our store sets one essential cookie so your cart is remembered while you shop, and Stripe sets its own while you pay, to guard against fraud. Neither needs your permission and neither is used to follow you around. The only optional cookie is Google Analytics, which we use to count visits and see which pages are read; it runs only if you choose Accept when we ask, and you can change your answer at any time. Your browser also keeps a note of which homepage image you saw last, so we can show you a different one next time; that lives on your own device, is not a cookie, and identifies nobody. There are no advertising cookies and nothing else.
How long we keep it
Order and licence records are kept for as long as your licence is in force and for the period the law requires us to retain business records, which in the UK is six years. Trial download records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to administer trials and protect our work. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the matter it concerns.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email mail@souvenirtypefaces.xyz and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS, payment details are handled entirely by Stripe, and we work only with established providers. We will update this policy if what we do changes, and the date at the top will always tell you when it was last revised.

Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of this site and any purchase you make through it from Souvenir Foundry Ltd, trading as Souvenir Typefaces, London, United Kingdom. By placing an order you agree to them. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing here reduces the rights the law gives you.

You are buying a licence
Fonts are software. When you buy from us you receive a licence to use the font files, not ownership of them. Every licence is governed by our End User Licence Agreement, which you accept at checkout and can read at any time on the Licensing page. Where these terms and the licence agreement differ on how the fonts may be used, the licence agreement applies.
Licences are priced by the size of the organisation that will use the fonts. It is your responsibility to choose the correct band; if you are buying on behalf of a client, the client is the licence holder and their size is the one that counts. If an organisation grows past its band, an upgrade is needed; we make that change at no charge.
Ordering and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any applicable tax is calculated and shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe at the moment of purchase; your order is confirmed, and the licence granted, when that payment succeeds, and a receipt is sent to the email address you gave. We may decline or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud or a pricing error, in which case anything you have paid is refunded in full.
Delivery
Font files are delivered as a download immediately after payment, from the receipt page and from the link in your confirmation email. Please make sure the email address you give is correct. Fonts bought with a custom name are prepared individually by us and sent to that address, normally within a few working days.
Cancellations and refunds
Font licences are digital content. By completing your purchase you ask us to deliver it straight away, and you acknowledge that once the download has been made available your right to cancel within fourteen days ends. This is the position set by UK consumer law for digital content supplied immediately. If a file we send is faulty, tell us and we will replace or repair it, and refund you if we cannot. Refunds are not otherwise given for change of mind or for licensing the wrong styles, so please use the free trial fonts to be sure before you buy.
Custom font names
Where offered, the custom-name add-on renames the font files with a prefix you supply. The prefix is used exactly as entered and must consist of letters and numbers only. We may decline a name that is offensive or that appears to infringe someone else’s rights, and refund the add-on. Renamed fonts remain subject to the same licence as the originals.
Trial fonts
Trial fonts are free and are provided under our Trial Licence for evaluation only: testing, mock-ups and internal presentation, never for finished or commercial work. They may be prepared for you individually, and we record who has downloaded them. We may withdraw trial access at any time.
Early access
Typefaces shown in the Sketchbook are works in progress and are licensed by enquiry rather than through the site. They may change materially before release, including in their letterforms, spacing and character set. Where we grant early access, updated files are provided as they are released, and no release date is promised.
Our work
All typefaces, artwork, text and the design of this site belong to Souvenir Foundry Ltd. You may not copy, extract or redistribute font files from the site, work around a licence, or interfere with how the site or store operates. The site’s specimen text is illustrative and not a description of any real product, place or event.
Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, and we may change, correct or withdraw products and prices at any time. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud. Beyond that, our liability to you in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business. The warranties that apply to the fonts themselves are those set out in the licence agreement.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you are entitled to under the law of the country you live in as a consumer.
